We are excited to welcome you to Bella’s Homestead and share with you the how’s and why’s of what we do here on the farm.
2022 VISITING BELLA
This upcoming high-season we are anticipating a lot of visitors as restrictions are relaxed. In order to meet this increased demand, and still offer a quality experience, we will be offering three ways to engage with us if you find yourself in Naramata and to help you plan your upcoming visit we’ve provided brief descriptions below.
BARREL TASTINGS We will begin receiving guests starting the May long weekend (Friday, May 20th) and will run through until harvest begins some time in early September. On Friday’s, Saturday’s and Sunday’s we will be offering “barrel tastings” every half hour, by appointment, starting at noon with the last appointment available at 3:30pm. Sample a flight of four wines while chatting around a barrel with our staff. A barrel tasting is $10 per person and is non-refundable. Barrel tastings are free for wine club members and their guests.
A TOUR WITH JAY Back for a third season, walk with Jay around our farm to better understand why we do the things we do and our way of life. This will be a 40 minute walking tour through our vineyards and orchards with several stops through out the tour to sip and savour our sparkling wines and connect with our world. Learn the inner workings of our homestead and see in detail what is happening on that day, while sipping world class sparkling wines. Tours with Jay will be on Saturday’s, starting May 21st, at 10am, 11am, noon and 1pm, by appointment only, and will run through to August 6th, inclusive. A tour with Jay is $20 per person ($10 per person for wine club members) and is non-refundable.
NARAMATA COMMUNITY MARKET If you didn’t have a chance to check it out last year, Naramata has really upped our farmer’s market game now that NaramataSlow has taken over the management of this beloved institution. Held weekly on Wednesday’s, starting June 1st through the end of September, from 4pm – 7pm, the Farmer’s Market at Manitou Park in Naramata is THE social event of the week for locals. In addition to local farmers, they call upon all Naramata-based green thumbs, artists, makers, bakers, fermenters and even kids with a side hustle to populate the market stalls. The only criteria is that the vendors call the Naramata Bench home. We’re honoured to secure a booth this upcoming season to offer our bubbles and goodies that come from the farm.
Cheers! Wendy and Jay and Buddha
